Katy Perry, is an American singer-songwriter, musician and actress. Now according to sources, Katy Perry is now become Mrs. Russell Brand, as the two A-list lovebirds tied the knot in a wedding ceremony in India on Saturday.

The duo released a statement on Saturday stating that they "were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23," and that the "very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples' closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family."

The statement also said that "the backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India."

Brand, 35, and Perry, 25, treated guests to several days of festivities at the Indian resort of Aman-i-Khas. According to reports, singing, clapping and overall celebratory sounds could be heard from the outskirts of the resort.......

The trip to India is rumored to be Brand�s Christmas gift to Perry after she told him how much she loved Indian culture.

At November�s MTV Europe Music Awards, Perry paid tribute to Brand via her on-stage underpants, emblazoned with his nickname, �Rusty.�
